There are many essential oils which can be used to relieve headaches far more safely than the ubiquitous aspirin. Out of the great range of analgesic oils, those which seem to be most effective are Lavender and Peppermint, either separately or in combination. Rosemary is another oil which clears the head and relieves pain, especially if the headache follows a period of mental effort.

You need to make this Headache Massage Blend in advance as it takes up to four days to synergize, but it should last several months providing the top is secured tightly.

1 Tablespoon Jojoba Oil
1 Tablespoon Grape seed Oil
1 Tablespoon Sweet Almond Oil
16 drops Lavender Essential Oil
8 drops Peppermint Essential Oil
6 drops Marjoram Essential Oil

Mix all the oils together in a small dark amber or blue bottle, shake well to blend. Let set for 4 days to synergize. Massage 1-2 drops into the base of the neck and at the temples, taking care not to get any into the eye. You can also add 1-2 teaspoons to warm bath water, agitate the oil blend into the water and soak.
